Painting colourful sunsets

26th September, 2025 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Come along for a creative and relaxing day using watercolour to colourful sunsets. I will give group and individual demonstrations of the painting techniques using watercolour. Cost is £80 payable online through my website.

A printed painting guide with step by step projects and tips on colour mixing will also be provided for you to take home. During the demonstrations, I explain my process step-by-step and I will show you various techniques and methods for creating different effects with watercolours. I will also provide tips and tricks for using different brushes, paints and paper. My demonstrations are recorded with an overhead camera to a television screen so you can see all of the detail in the painting process as I paint.

One of the great things about attending a demonstration is that you can see the techniques being used in real-time and ask questions during the demonstration. You will be able to paint the project and I will give individual guidance and encouragement. You will produce a finished painting to take home along with notes explaining the techniques used during the workshop.

The workshop will start at 10am and we finish at 4pm. I encourage attendees to arrive 15 minutes prior to the commencement of the workshop ie 9.45am. This will allow you time to familiarise yourself with the amenities, meet me and your fellow participants and enjoy a coffee or tea.

All courses are for adults age 18 plus.

You will need to bring: Watercolour paper (if possible Arches 140lb/300gsm cotton Cold pressed or rough surface). Brushes, a large wash brush and a fine pointed brush for detail.
