Needle Felting

Join us for a four week course of needle felting. Needle felting is a slow, yet highly rewarding process. By the end of the course you’ll have created your own small British bird sculpture(s) such as a robin, wren or a coal tit.
The course is open to complete beginners as well as people wanting to improve their needle felting skills.
When: Beginning on Thursday 4 May for four weeks, 6.30pm to 9pm (2.5 hours)
Format: You will be introduced to a variety of needle felting techniques. Step-by-step you’ll learn how to work with felting needles and wool, starting off by sculpting a basic shape, and progressing to adding more colours and fine details.
Materials: All materials and tools will be provided, however you’re welcome to bring images and books for inspiration.
Tutor: Zenia is a self-taught needle felting artist, who is originally trained in analogue photography She feels vastly inspired by nature and brings many years of teaching experience. (https://www.theladymoth.com/)
Cost: £100
Accessibility: The Rowan building is wheelchair friendly and has accessible facilities. Please get in touch with us to let us know if there is something you need to be able to participate in our courses.
Transport: We do not have any parking at our building. On street parking is available and free after 5pm each day. There are also regular buses on Chesterton Road just a five minute walk from Rowan.
