Make your own ceramic egg cup

Join Rowan ceramics tutor Sarah Nibbs in this egg-citing pottery workshop. During the session students will be guided through different techniques to make a set of 4 ceramic egg cups. Not a fan of eggs? Why not make some salt and pepper pots instead!
This course is open to complete beginners as well as people wanting to improve their pottery skills. You will be supported in a warm and relaxed learning environment to create your own mini masterpieces.
When: Thursday 6 April, 6.30pm to 9pm (2.5 hours)
Format: You’ll be guided step-by-step through a variety of hand building techniques to produce your own original designs. Then you’ll also have the opportunity to decorate your pottery pieces using coloured slips. At the end of the workshop, your finished items will be left at Rowan and we will fire and glaze your work. We will contact you to collect your pieces within 2-4 weeks.
Materials: All materials will be provided

What to wear: Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes that you don’t mind getting a little mucky.
Accessibility: The Rowan building is wheelchair friendly and has accessible facilities. Please get in touch with us to let us know if there is something you need to be able to participate in our courses.
Transport: We do not have any parking at our building. On street parking is available and free after 5pm each day. There are also regular buses on Chesterton Road just a five minute walk from Rowan.
All of our community evening classes continue to support and help the running of Rowan’s day-to-day activities for adults with learning disabilities.
