Linocut printmaking for beginners

Discover the joy of linocut printmaking in this relaxed, hands-on workshop for beginners.
You’ll learn how to transfer a design, carve, and print your linocut using just one colourblock, perfect for creating bold, striking results with simple techniques. No experienceneeded! Just bring your curiosity and leave with a beautiful set of prints you’ve made.

Workshop content:
1. Introduction to linocut printmaking and examples
2. Learning to use the tools: marks, textures, and safe cutting
3. Choosing or creating your design with reference images
4. Transferring and carving your lino block
5. Mixing ink and printing by hand
6. Printing with a small craft press
7. Wrapping your prints so you can take them home safely
