Expressive Acrylics – Exploring Techniques and Textures

If you are new to painting or looking to enhance your skills, come and join me on from for a fun, experimental, acrylic painting workshop.
We will learn about acrylic paint and other complimentary materials, how to mix a myriad of colours from a basic limited palette, explore different mixed media and collage techniques, learning how to build rich layers and create interesting textures, and develop good sketchbook practices to help figure out what your creative voice is.
The subject matter is open in this workshop, so it doesn’t matter if you are interested in abstract or figurative art. This class aims to give you a solid foundation in skills and discovery, develop a long lasting, experimental creative process, use sketchbooks with intention, find your colour palette and really explore the personal, expressive side of painting which will allow you to produce art that is uniquely yours that will also resonate with others.
