23rd November @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Evening art courses at Rowan for everyone!
Learn the key concepts and skills of observational drawing. Once you have finished these sessions you should have all the skills and knowledge to feel confident to approach any drawing.
We will start with learning basic skills and shapes: Observational construction of shapes, identifying light and shade – tonal work, learning composition theory and learn perspective and portrait skills.
– When: Beginning on Thursday 28 September for eight weeks, 6.30pm to 9pm (2.5 hours). There will be a half term break on Thursday 26 October.
– Format: View a full description of the autumn term here.
– Materials: Materials will be provided but if you want to, you can bring your own to practise/experiment with or get advice on how to use.
– Tutor: After teaching life drawing, figurative studies and portraiture for nearly 20 years, throughout the UK and internationally, I have developed both an empathetic and technical teaching style, working with teenagers, adults, beginners and professional artists/designers. I found teaching became an exploration and a two-way conversation about individual perception. The focus of the study of human form can be instrumental in supporting individual expression and encouraging critical analysis. Visit Rebecca’s website here.
– Cost: £200 per term
