Book Making – The Linton Collection with Helen Perry at Cambridge Art Makers
22nd February @ 10:00 am - 4:30 pm
This unique two-day course will enable you to make a versatile collection of three books that are designed to show their open spines, and decorative stitching, as well as being very functional.
They all lay flat when opened and in use, making them ideal as books for sketching, painting or journalling. The collection, all filled with Fabriano drawing paper, consists of a Coptic binding, a Buttonhole stitched book and a French linked stitched binding. These bindings are all chosen to compliment each other and when completed they will be housed in a matching slipcase in order to display their decorative spines.
All of the skills you will learn can be ‘mixed and matched’ so that you have a myriad of design possibilities after the course
