Artist's StatementWren’s work explores design, and sustainability using origami, clay, wire, paper and natural dyes.

Wren creates sculptures and artworks based on the forms and patterns found in nature; the intricacy and rhythm of hand-folded origami revealing patterns that emphasise balance and rhythm. Working with a range of natural and recycled materials often hand folding paper to create complex three-dimensional geometric forms. Wren draws, mainly in charcoal, but also in oil pastels, makes prints with lino and woodblock and is rarely without her camera to capture moments to make artworks.

Wren will be exhibiting a range of work including prints and framed origami, delicate kinetic sculptures and jewellery made from a range of traditionally crafted and recycled papers many of which are hand printed and naturally dyed by the artist.
