Artist's StatementI have a long standing interest in maps, aerial photography and local history and it is these themes that feature consistently in my work. Most recently I explored the events of the 1953 flood that particularly effected East Anglia. I have always enjoyed experimenting with mixed media to create layers and texture, sometimes incorporating text. My current work makes use of hand dyed fabric and details of clothing using an embellisher machine to fuse the materials together.
