Artist's StatementI have only been painting for a few years. My sister encouraged me to take up art after we suffered a family tragedy, so she bought me all the equipment that I would need including art classes. I have enjoyed painting ever since. I also enjoy cooking, and opened a delicatessen with six other like-minded ladies. It became a huge success. However, I missed my painting so gave up the deli and concentrated on art. I most enjoy painting animals and portraits, but as I spend a large part of the summer in Greece I’ve also started painting seascapes. I have had no formal training but with help and encouragement from my architect husband I feel that I have achieved a satisfactory standard to share my art.
