Artist's StatementI love books and, when I discovered the craft of bookbinding 12 years ago, my love of all things book related came full circle. Encouraged by my bookbinding tutor, I began to create my own books and now sell via Etsy, Folksy, The British Craft House, Cambridge Contemporary Crafts and at craft fairs. My materials are responsibly sourced and I love working with tactile, vegan, sustainable cork, decorative papers and fabrics, including upcycled kimono silks. One of my favourite binding styles is Coptic Stitch – an exposed spine binding allowing the book to lay flat when open. I also love to make Leporellos, concertina photo/memory books, which are a lovely way to carry special memories with you wherever you go.
