Artist's StatementI make a more minimal style of jewellery but often with strikingly coloured or patterned 'stones'. As a former chemist I find myself drawn to unusual materials and increasingly I'm working with recycled, man made, materials as a more sustainable alternative to natural rocks. My favourite material to work with is Fordite which is a cured accumulation of over spray paint from car factories, I buy the rough material and cut/ polish my own cabochons to use in my jewellery.
