Artist's StatementSusan Mealing is a Printmaker who works in both 2D and 3D using traditional and contemporary printmaking techniques and she works with diverse materials including glass, plaster and textiles.
Her main interest lies with the flawed and her work embraces imperfection and impermanence; and the wabi sabi belief that nothing lasts, nothing is finished, and nothing is perfect is fundamental to her philosophy and aesthetics. Her most recent work focusses on the plight of refugees and lost identity.
