Artist's StatementI am a Scottish Painter, living and painting in the Fens. Now that I am retired, I have a lot of time to indulge my passion. I like to work outside when possible and regularly sketch and paint in and around my new home town of Ely.
This is a beautiful area which has an abundance of painting subjects. The ever changing landscape and city makes me want to paint. I find lots of subjects both in the fens and in the city. I like to produce bold colourful paintings in oil but also work in watercolour and I have many full sketchbooks
I have converted my garage into a Studio/Gallery where I often work with the large door open and passers-by are welcome to come in for a chat. I always have Original Paintings, Limited Edition Prints and Greetings Cards available. There is no pressure to buy, I am happy for people just to come and look and chat.
