Artist's StatementMy artwork explores a sense of time and place. I use colour, line, and composition expressively to convey mood and drama, drawing on mixed media to create visually textured work that conveys a sense of the layered stories, histories and mysteries of the subjects I am drawn to - the echoes of ancient backstreets with their crumbling walls and peeling paintwork, wild and isolated places silently witnessing the passage of time, or enigmatic moments glimpsed people-watching.
