Artist's Statement

The work is bold, innovative and semi figurative. Sometimes gestural. At other times she reworks past iconic works from art history. She admires the work of Marc Chagall, Robert Rauschenburgh and artists who work with found objects. The artist is constantly experimenting with different techniques in glass and has been a member of the Contemporary Glass Society almost since it began. She attended Central St.Martin's School of Art in 2008 for a course in architectural glass in 2009. She has a B.A.and M.A. in Fine Art and has exhibited in Scotland, Wales and England as well as locally over the past 20 years. She has architectural glasswork in Minneapolis and won on-line representation after entering the Chelsea International Art Competition in New York at the Agora Gallery. This will be her first year taking part in Open Studios.
