Artist's StatementMy paintings are abstract or semi abstract and are in acrylic/mixed media. They are developed intuitively often through a long process of layering, subtracting, changes so that they contain a history of their own making. They may evoke cities , landscapes and the layers of time. The collages/mixed media works on paper or board are developed in the same way, though working on paper allows for greater flexibility than on canvas. Colour, texture, layers are the main means of evoking mood and expression.
I will be present at St Barnabas Press for the first two weekends of Open Studio and my studio and work will be on view every weekend.
