Artist's StatementMy painting and printmaking is about people and their dialogues, characters in the stage of life, real and imagined. I want to examine the flesh, bone and blood that constitutes the human form, and the complex relationships and narratives they manifest. ​​​

I adore life drawing, sketching in oil or ink to build up a vocabulary of the body. As well as experimental printmaking approaches (e.g. in moving image), I wipe, scratch, scour, burnish, dab and splatter in monoprint and etching, producing images of the body that shout that they've been produced by a human. ​
