Artist's StatementProfessional artist and educator based in England. In my practice I cover a varied and experienced use of different media as oils, acrylics, ink, graphite and charcoal.

My range of styles and works include portraiture, landscapes, representative and traditional artworks as well as contemporary and abstract ones.

My landscapes drawings want to explore imaginary or real places where the exploit of victorian beauty takes place.

My inks are water. Water that takes me through the shapes and through a free understanding of the gestures and thoughts. Based on the knowledge of Japanese zen philosophy and the sumi-e exploration technique.

My abstracts explore inner feelings and emotions generated by casual or inducted events. I developed interested in abstract fairly recently. I am fond of the philosophical as well as the psychological side and power of art. This is why I also try to express thoughts and subconscious realities not always possible expressed with words. Absence of lines and over planning or thinking in my abstracts. But pure freedom and use of art practice as an healing meditative approach to life.

I do realise artworks or portraits on commission either in oil, acrylics, charcoal and graphite.
Most of my works are in private collections.

I have a BA in Fine Arts Master degree in Art History, and I work in education with young and adult students in different settings. I am a co- founder of the international Bookmark Artists Collective. I am editor of the BAC’s magazine and member of For Art History, the Visual Artists Association and the Oscar Wilde Society and when possible I do organise art exhibitions.
