Artist's Statement

I am a trained Fine Artist and educator who has worked in comedy performance, drama, poetry, photography and found images for over forty years. Now retired, I am embarking on a new journey by revisiting the surreal artistic directions of my past using photography, manipulated images and text with ambitions towards introducing even more absurdity to this, already absurd world. My work uses photomontaged images, words and a rather obscure sense of humour. Hopefully, there is a treatment for my condition although when visiting my studio be aware that this affliction may be contagious, but the wearing of asbestos overalls is not essential.
