Artist's StatementI live on a narrow boat on the River Nene so a lot of my inspiration comes from nature however currently I seem to be obsessed with old buildings, doors and windows so my work is constantly evolving.I returned to my love of hand stitching during the first lockdown, creating fabric collages, and it has continued to be a refuge when life is hectic. I have been using textiles, paper and collage in my work for many years and never loose the excitement I feel when designing and stitching. Although I enjoy trying new combinations of processes and techniques, the love of textiles is always at the core of my work.
