Artist's Statement

I studied silversmithing and jewellery at London Metropolitan University, completing my HND in 2006, when I exhibited at New Designers. I am particularly interested in creating surface texture and contrasting finishes, often using granulation and fusing techniques, including the ancient Korean technique of Keum Boo, to enhance the simple shapes of my jewellery. Experimentation is an important part of my work and sometimes this leads naturally to the evolution of a design. I also make scarves and clutch bags from vintage kimono silks and other fine fabrics, as well as clutch bags in Harris tweed.

I welcome visitors during the year - but please ring/email to make an appointment.
