Artist's StatementLorna McNeur is a retired Cambridge University Lecturer in Architecture who was brought up from childhood as an Abstract Expressionist Artist, in San Francisco, Philadelphia, and New York City. She studied/practiced/taught Architecture, for 35 years, from many perspectives including: philosophical, phenomenological, historical/theoretical, psychological, spiritual, et al. Lorna shares conceptual architectural models exploring 'Home', alongside her more recent ceramic sculpture, in which she explores: psychology and space, emotions and environment, alchemy and dreams, climate change and grief, and much more. MoMA NYC, The Museum of Modern Art has recently acquired one of her substantial projects.
