Artist's StatementI love to layer hand carved lino blocks or handcut silkscreen stencils onto a range of backgrounds, often I add watercolours to diffuse the hard edges and collage with found or my own printed papers. I am fascinated by the colours, patterns and textures that are revealed and concealed among the layers.
Inspiration comes from the garden which surrounds me as I work. Its palette of colour, form, and line constantly moves and changes through the day and the seasons, and I try to replicate elements of this in my work.
