Artist's StatementJools Heyes is a contemplative artist, musician and poet based near Cambridge UK. Her artwork is delicate and diverse – sometimes naturalistic, sometimes dreamlike, with themes including water, mirrors, driftwood and leaves. As a musician, Jools writes songs and performs as RUBY MUSE, together with husband-guitarist Malcolm Heyes. Sometimes the songs and poems merge with the paintings in intriguing ways. Jools is more than happy to welcome you into her beautiful garden ‘beach hut’ studio to browse her original works and prints (large and small, framed and unframed); greetings cards also available.
