Artist's StatementI DESIGN & MAKE UNIQUE STAINED GLASS LIGHT SWITCHES! Some in delicate shades of coloured glass, others vibrant, iridescent and detailed, some for commissions.
I studied Sculpture at Hammersmith's in London. After graduating I focused on kiln-formed glass as my sculptural medium, always seeing glass as ethereal, spiritual. I worked as Art Therapist in a London psychiatric hospital. I taught pottery and worked on private commissions, making portraits for Jools Holland, Benjamin Zephaniah, Ken Livingstone, and many others. One portrait was short-listed for The National Portrait Gallery's Private Sculpture Collection. I like to cross boundaries, I believe making art is a unique creative and experimental process. I'm now focused on designing and making my Stained Glass Light Switches. It's a very new departure but I'm loving every moment of it!
