Artist's StatementIn mid-life, while working in Cambridge as a medical psychotherapist, I had the opportunity to do a GCSE in photography. And I was ‘hooked’. Since then, I have become an Associate of the Royal Photographic Society and exhibited an eclectic mix of photographs. Although Psychotherapy and Photography are different, both confront the dilemma of what is revealed and what remains hidden. The excitement, as well as the difficulty, for me as a photographer, centres round documenting visually that which I see and feel subjectively. My photographs playing with light, colour, abstraction and perspective, hopefully allow the viewer to see things differently.
Co-exhibiting with Fiona; we have encouraged each other to explore and reimagine objects and scenes. And how our different media lead to new visions and new works.
