Artist's StatementEach piece is created and painted by hand which takes time, but produces an individual and unique item.
My art is in its early stages and I am continually experimenting with new techniques to produce different styles and finishes.
Pottery is my calming influence for my busy mind.
I have always been a creative person but I didn't get the opportunity to study art when I was younger. I now take this opportunity to explore my creative style through pottery. I hope that my late start into pottery may inspire other people to follow their creative dreams.
My pieces are tactile and a reflection of my mood. They are often influenced by the coast - sometimes using sand as part of the creative process. I also enjoy investigating coastal lines, shape, form and colour.
I show order, tranquillity and a sense of calm through my pieces.
All my items are food safe, and can be used in the dishwasher, oven and microwave.
Every item is created in my Ely garden studio.
