Artist's StatementI've always loved drawing and early on I knew I wanted to continue pursuing my art alongside my love of literature which led me to study a degree in Arts and Humanities at De Montfort University in the early '90's. I started working in The Stained Glass Museum, in Ely Cathedral 10 years ago which inspired me to embark on a programme of study and daily painting practice. Over the last 7 years I have developed my painting and drawing style bringing new techniques from time spent print making and learning more about art history. I continue to push my learning and love to share my knowledge by running a variety of workshops at Tindalls, The Stained Glass Museum, Haddenham Arts Centre and at local art groups in neighbouring counties. As well as painting expressive, textural landscapes I regularly take commissions for pet portraits in soft pastels and continue to enjoy painting illustrative watercolours inspired by stained glass. More recently I have enjoyed giving demonstrations at art societies and short tours of The Stained Glass Museum.
