Artist's StatementExploring Emotion & Nature Through Layers of Colour & Movement

Jade Boswell’s work is currently exploring how she can capture fleeting moments and quiet emotions through her practice. She is often inspired by the sea, the sky and the spaces in between. Jade's aim is to slow those moments down and hold that feeling on the canvas long after the moment itself has passed. Her work explores the fluid, intangible nature of emotion, intertwined with reflections of nature’s rhythms. Inspired by shifting light, the delicacy and movement of flora, and moments that might otherwise slip away, she translates feeling into colour, texture, and movement. Layering bold brushstrokes, rich textures, and vibrant contrasts, Jade captures fleeting emotions in visual form. Through her intuitive process, each piece becomes an invitation to pause, reflect, and find personal connection within the abstraction.
