Artist's StatementOnly in Art can I Truly Exist.
Jacqueline Taylor is a multidisciplinary artist working across fine art, photography, writing, music, poetry, theatre, and live performance. Her practice spans more than three decades and is rooted in the pursuit of collecting, preserving, and presenting memory as a living, breathing thing.
Maps of My Inner World – The Presence of Memory is her first upcoming solo exhibition, presenting for the first time a largely unseen archive of visual art, original songs, performance poetry, and storytelling, fused together as a complete body of work in itself.
Each collection, song, poem, and performance arises as a form of protest, survival, and resistance to the distortion of memory.

FULL CIRCLES
Full circles is a series of 12 biro pen and coloured pencil drawings created whilst travelling across Thailand on two separate trips taken over a 12 month period to aid space recovery and healing from long term illness.
The full Circles series was exhibited for the first time in Bangkok as part of Folk Fridays an art and music event created to support new and emerging artists exhibit and perform original music and poetry.
Drawing circles, with an intentional healing focus on healing, confronting and transforming mental illness into a more balanced and whole and integrated sense of self.
Healing Circle workshops are available for groups and individuals as a tool for self healing and personal transformation.
Intense series - untangling
The Intense series was created in England during a cold winter in January 2023, and as a way to both capture the intensity of anxiety I experienced at that time, but also as a way to transmit overwhelming feelings from my mind to the page and thus causing a relief, and healing transformation.
Art as a way of letting go and holding on at the same time.
