Artist's StatementI studied at Ravensbourne Art College, then 3D Design at Leicester Polytechnic (now De Montfort University) where I first blew glass. A lifetime of creativity later, I have been using glass as my main media for the last 12 years As with all artists my best work is the result of a hard negotiation between my concept and the resistance of the material.
I buy sheets of flat glass, cut shapes, assemble and fire to fuse. I work with fused glass and silver to make jewellery. I fuse glass and add detail with traditional stained glass painting techiques to make pictures. I cut glass and wrap the edges with copper and solder to make window decorations.
