Artist's StatementI am an emerging artist based in Suffolk, working primarily in acrylic painting. My practice focuses on figurative subjects and atmospheric, narrative-driven imagery. Through the use of dramatic lighting, texture, and an expressive colour palette, my work explores emotional tension and introspective moments.
I aim to create paintings that balance elements of realism with expressive mark-making, allowing surface texture and imperfection to remain visible. Influenced by storytelling and theatrical composition, my work aims to create intimate and bright scenes that invite prolonged viewing and engagement.
I previously studied at Long Road Sixth Form College where I gained an A-Level in Art&Design. None of my work is currently being displayed, nor has it been previously. However, you can view the entirety of my paintings and digital work via my instagram (below).

Metamorphosis
This series explores themes of urban decay and the tension between urban and rural environments. The works focus on spaces that feel overlooked or neglected, highlighting the contrast between built structures and natural elements. Through layered surfaces and a complementary colour palette, the paintings create visual tension while drawing attention to areas of deterioration, abandonment, and quiet transformation.
The use of opposing colours reinforces the conceptual contrast between urban and rural spaces, while also heightening atmosphere and emotional impact. Together, the works invite viewers to reflect on how human development interacts with, and often disrupts, the natural landscape.
Possessions
This series focussed on mass-consumerism by looking at how photographic and telephonic processed equipment developed over the last two centuries. As part of this project i wrote a 2,000 word essay on how the development of photography from the first photographs in 1889 all the way to digital cameras that we used today. I used primarily my own collection of antique cameras, phones, typewriters and projectors for this project as well as visiting local vintage and antique shops in and around Cambridge. My main medium for this project was digital, creating patterns as well as combining physical printing with images of my own taking.
