This medium is often used as a starting point for my mixed media pieces. It is easily transportable. I may finish the painting in situ, or make a sketch
and, take many photographs from different vantage points, then work on it back in the studio. In this way it is possible to interpret my innate,
emotional, response.

These paintings are often started with watercolour or acrylic inks directly onto the chosen surface (300lb Fabriano Artistico HP paper, or primed,
stretched canvas). The subject matter is photographed or sketched from different vantage points and then completed in the studio. In this way my
immediate innate emotional response is portrayed in the painting. Acrylic paint is the dominant medium.
