Artist's StatementI own and run The Ceramic Hub in Wicken, Ely and I have the chance to daily meet with a lot of inspired people coming to my studio to create with clay. Teaching both children and adults is a big part of my life. “If it is fun, do it!” is my motto. I teach throwing, slab work, sculpting and coil for creating large vessels. I am fortunate to have wonderful potters working with me to help The Ceramic Hub to be more and more amazing every day! If you want to give pottery a go, please be in touch. What do you do?” So I personally work with both stoneware and earthenware. I mainly make ceramic items to inspire my students but my true love is in making ceramic planters in the shape of tumbled down houses. The roofs of my little houses are open and plants grow out of them. I have a passion for succulents so, I join plants to my creations as often as I can.
