Artist's StatementMy work is a response to the beauty of the natural world including human and animal anatomy, biology and astronomy. I have charted new territory by exploring these theme, usually the preserve of science, from my own artist's viewpoint. Recently, my sculpture FIN, based on the fin of a whale, was installed at Freswick Castle on the John O'Groats walking trail in Scotland. It utilises half a ton of recycled acrylic and is the largest cast sculpture using recycled acrylic in the world to date.
