Artist's StatementI work predominantly with recycled silver.
The pieces I make are influenced by nature and often include found materials such as seasoned wood foraged on walks in the Pyrenees, driftwood & bog oak
I enjoy sharing my skills in workshops I run throughout the year

ON FOOT: Short walk from centre, don’t walk along Downham Road as this is the long way instead from EGREMONT STREET cross to UPHERDS LANE (this is an unmade up road but quicker) look for allotments on left & small alley way opposite on right to MERLIN DRIVE
BY CAR A10 then off DOWNHAM ROAD almost opposite Ely College look for A FRAME pointing to MERLIN DRIVE

A new community gallery for Ely

I am inviting you to one final meeting at the Babylon Gallery on Thursday 4th September @ 7pm , NOT to save it because we have gone passed that point, but to be part of a working group to find a new location/ venue for a much needed permanent community gallery in Ely.

It is in no way a formal meeting, because to be honest that skill set is not one I have in my wheelhouse, but a meeting where we’re hoping to find relevant people to take this urgent need for a gallery forward to the next stage.

Space is limited to 150 people at the Babylon so ideally we’d like people who feel they have the necessary skills, such as any of the following :

a working knowledge of local government
IT, admin
organisation
communication skills
(along with many others that I don’t even know is required at this point!)

So please do come along...or if you know of anybody with the skills required please ask them to come along too.

This is not an ‘ideas’ gathering at this stage, but one to find a working group.

Maybe you have something to help find a new community gallery for Ely, I do hope so.
