Artist's StatementHello! Based in Histon, I only started painting in 2023, using repurposed canvases and whatever domestic paints I had in my garage. Later I added some inks that I had kicking about, and some markers and paint pens. It's a cliché but it was more art therapy than creativity. I don't know what each piece is going to look like until I start. I paint feelings and sensations, or sometimes a phrase comes to me which becomes the title and inspires the image. My style is abstract and contemporary, and I love contrast and bold shapes and colour.
