Artist's StatementAfter many years running my own art gallery in Ely Cambridgeshire and took early retirement and was able to concentrate on my own art work. My main focus is to portray atmosphere. I paint fen scenes based on Wicken Fen with the big skies and reed beds. The large open skies of East Anglia give me much pleasure in trying to capture the feel of them, in all their moods.
I am a member of Cambridge Drawing Society and the Isle of Ely Art Society and exhibit with them both regularly. I also, with an artist friend have run a workshop in Ely every Wednesday for the last 12 years. We exhibited every year in the Babylon Gallery Riverside Ely, with much success.
