Artist's Statement

A Dutch Australian Artist, born in Venezuala, qualified Architect in Britain and living in Cambridge. This colourful background and life on the move, up until recently, has induced evocative observations which demands a response. Drawing, painting and creating allows me to explore this need and to understand my place within it. I am inspired by light and textures, colours and cultures. I am up for a challenge and revel in the daily struggle to capture the object of my focus without loosing its essence. Chocolate and coffee helps.
