Artist's StatementI create large sonorous abstract landscapes/seascapes with mixed media & glazes, (sometimes collage) producing energetic mark-making & texture, using a variety of tools & brushes….in fact anything I can find (short of the yard broom)
I am a passionate painter and the time can fly.
Poetry and writings trigger my energy and imagination. My music is my painting companion and my intention is to stir the soul!
In contrast I enjoy painting vibrant colourful abstract pieces.In this way I am able to maintain a freshness in my work.
I was an illustrator for Heffers Cambridge in my early career moving on to ‘Visual Arts’, Oxford. After a spell of painting commissioned portraits I started the practice I’m now following.
I attended the London Art Academy.
My work is represented in Burnham Market at Pococks the Artmonger and is in many homes in England, Italy, Holland and more.
