Artist's StatementI was born in Germany into an artist family and taught by my father a professional artist.
Over the years I have worked in several mediums in a variety of styles. I eventually settled on colour pencil drawings which has become my main passion. Since 2011 I have also been an award winning jewellery designer, maker and international teacher specialising in mixed media jewellery.
My drawings are produced on paper with great attention to realistic and natural details. I also produce abstract Monotypes in oil on paper. My choice of subject matter can be very eclectic. It is often the little things that get overlooked that I get drawn to. Unusual shapes, textures, patterns and colours. The play of light and shade.
My work has been selected for exhibition in the UK. I have also been lucky to have won several online awards in the UK as well as international juried art awards.
I am a member of the Cambridge Drawing Society, the Cambridge District Art Circle and the UK Colour Pencil Society.
