Artist's StatementThe colours and atmosphere of a landscape inspire me to paint, and I like being on site absorbing everything whilst working. I prefer oils, but when travelling it is more practical to use pen and watercolour. On some foreign painting trips I just fill a sketchbook with lots of drawings and notes, as there is so much to record. I have exhibited with galleries in England, Germany and Mexico and with C.O.S. for over 25 years. Before this I taught in Cambridge School of Art.
