Artist's StatementI have always loved to create and in the past my materials of choice have been fabrics, yarn and thread.
Recently though I have rediscovered a love of painting and this has now become the focus of my work, as I explore both abstract and representational themes, although I also have a particular love of portrait.
As I have experimented I have found ways to combine my paintings with my love of stitch which has resulted in stitched paper collages. My love of colour and texture still dominates my work but it is taking me in a completely different direction.
