Artist's StatementI learnt to throw pots on a potters wheel at school in Cambridge when I was 14, and have been in love with the process ever since. After completing a National Diploma and an HND in ceramics and jewellery, I worked as a potters apprentice for a few years before establishing my own studio. In 2001 I helped to set up White House Arts, a private arts centre in Cambridge. After 11 years of making ceramics, and teaching art and design, I won a scholarship to go back to university and study industrial ceramics. Since then I have regularly exhibited at the Country Living fairs, 100% Design and the New York Gift Fair, as a guest of the Crafts Council.
I'm moving away from ceramic tableware and exploring painting, printing and film making, as well as ways of working that build on my many years as a ceramicist. Come and see what's new as I evolve in a different direction.
