Artist's StatementI love the vibrancy and luminosity of glass and the range of possibilities it offers as a medium to work in. The glass techniques I work with are leading, copper foiling, fusing, slumping, and glass painting. I set up my own Stained Glass Business in Cambridge, taking commissions from private clients and exhibiting my own work regularly, often with Cambridge Open Studios. As well as being paert of the artist collective “Cambridge Art Salon”, a shared studio space in Cambridge, I am a qualified art teacher and have taught Stained Glass and general art and craft to all age groups ranging from 4 upwards for the past 20 years and have worked as a community artist on a number of projects. I enjoy following my own inspiration as much as encouraging and inspiring other’s creativity.

Lamps
I enjoy making new designs into 3d shapes as lamps, so that they become small luminous sculptures, which play with light in different ways in natural and artificial lighting conditions and make beautiful feature pieces in small spaces. Some of these are made as studio pieces and some are commissioned pieces and they explore a variety of techniques and themes.
