Artist's StatementMy art is a response to lived experience. Personal interactions and feelings give rise to the development of ideas resulting in the sculpting of new forms. The human figure, birds and animals are used as metaphors. The forms are representational or non-representational; carved in wood or stone, modelled in clay or wax and cast into bronze. Sometimes found objects spark ideas and are given new meaning.
