"Each piece is created and painted by hand which takes time, but produces an individual and unique item. My art is in it's early stages and I am continually experimenting with new techniques to produce different styles and finishes. Pottery is my calming influence for my busy mind. I have always been a creative person but I didn't get the opportunity to study art when I was younger. I now take this opportunity to explore my creative style through pottery. I hope that my late start into pottery may inspire other people to follow their creative dreams. My pieces are tactile and a reflection of my mood. They are often influenced by the coast - using sand as part of the creative process. I also enjoy investigating coastal lines, shape, form and colour. I show order, tranquillity and a sense of calm through my pieces. All my items are food safe, and can be used in the dishwasher, oven and microwave. Every item I produce is made entirely in my workshop. "
